Ondarreta has joined forces with Harris Tweed, the centenary Scottish woven fabric maker, to create a versatile collection of products upholstered with this exceptional material renowned for its rich colours and patterns. We offer thirteen fabrics, hand-made materials crafted from virgin wool and natural inks produced entirely in the Isle of Harris in Scotland. Delta Awards 2020
Two of our products – Alo Outdoor chair, in the outdoor equipment category, and Silu chair in the Indoors Equipment one – have been awarded with Bronze at the Delta Awards at its 40th edition.

Laus Awards 2020
DESIGN, in all its forms, is an essential part of the work that the Ondarreta family does. A commitment that alongside the creative design studio Pensando en Blanco has been recognised at the latest edition of the design and communication Laus Awards.
Our Brandobook in the Corporate Publishing category and the editorial ‘Spirit of Things’ in the Art Direction in Photography category were awarded with Gold. The cover of our Brandbook and our ‘Common Situations’ editorial with Silver and our series of interviews ‘Talks’ as well as our Corporate Identity for a small business were rewarded with Bronze. BIME PRO
BIME PRO a meeting point for all kind of professionals working in different areas of music and other cultural and creative industries. It is a space for connecting continents, doing business, sharing knowledge and discovering the latest innovations in anything and everything related to music.

ADG Laus Awards for Graphic Design and Visual Communication, acknowledges excellence, promotes design and projects the importance of cultural and economical within design. This year Ondarreta, together with the studio Pensando en blanco, has been nominated to 6 Laus Awards.
Txalupa Gastroleku
Congrats to El Equipo Creativo on winning this years “Best International Pub” at the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2020 with one of their latest projects “Txalupa Gastroleku”. A beautiful secret space, located in San Sebastián’s Old Part, created with the colours and essence of the cities port, where you can find our Bob Collection at the restaurant and bar. Two different environments in one same place.
Special Mention
Design is differentiation. Design makes brands strong – and companies successful. The German Design Council is one of the world’s leading competence centres for design. The Special Mention distinction of the GDA pays tribute to consistent design conception and implementation. It's summer time!

Hari Talks
Hari is the result of the latest collaboration between Ondarreta and Estudi{H}ac. Hari is also the word for “thread” in Euskera. Threads are the raw material of linen and wool cloth, the elements with which tailors work.

The Basque Country Makers Community has called on groups of scientist, engineers and design companies to contribute to the Health care system creating materials with their 3D printers.
Ondarreta has joined this initiative, putting to work our own 3D printer to manufacture anti-splash visors for Sanitary staff.

Landaburu Borda, a rural house with more than 100 years, located in the heart of Navarre.
Its owner Gorka and the arquitec Jordi Hidalgo Tané have create an annex with sky high windows and concrete walls, respecting the harmony and landspace. We've been so fortunate to be able to do one of our latest shootings in this amazin space.

Sala VIP
Teresa Sapey, architect and interior designer and Rafael Robledo, have been in charge of designing the VIP room during ARCO 2020, the international contemporary Art Fair that took place in Madrid. Our Bai and Alo chairs, have been part of this exclusive space, in collaboration with RED (Reunión Empresas Españolas de Diseño).
Bodega Opening
Oto Stools decorate this amazing gastronomical space presented by Abadía Retuerta winery, creating the perfect spot to savour their wine and a wide variety of selected products. A meeting point to rest and grab a snack during ARCO 2020 Art Fair in Madrid, a project led by Anson & Bonet gastronomic consultants.
Madame Figaro
Our chairs go far and beyond their usual habitat, in this occasion as complementary pieces of the fashion editorial produced by the French magazine Madame Figaro. In their proposal of beige hues, our Bai combi chair and Lana easy chair integrate perfectly. A piece realized by Carole Matry and photography by Andoni + Arantxa.
Ecodesign: Made in Euskadi
It has been 20 years since the first eco design projects in the Basque Country. At Ondarreta we believe that our evolution and constant improvement is related to one of our main commitments: minimize the environmental impact and take care of what surrounds us.
From the 28th of February until the 1st of March, you can visit Basque Ecodesign Meeting 2020 at Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao the exhibit where you will find our ecodesign Bai Chair.
Sala VIP
This year, Ondarreta product will be part of the International Contemporary Art Fair - Arco Madrid 2020. From the 26th of February until the 1st of March, you can visit the exhibit where you can find our product in the VIP area designed by Teresa Sapey y Rafael Robledo and in "Bodega Opening" a project led by Ansón & Bonet.

Space Divider Ola
In winter, the Cantabric Sea is known for its sea storms that outbreak throughout the whole coast. If you visit the beach during these storms, you will witness one spectacular act, lead by Mother Nature. An image, a memory that every person born up North has, huge curtains of water that eat up the horizon... the true inspiration behind our new room divider Ola.
Ola, allows you to separate spaces in a simple and manageable way, it can be used separately or linked together by its unique base. One of its many features, that make Ola different, is its accessories collection, giving you the possibility to adapt it to any space. Lastly, due to its upholstered structure, it works as an acoustic panel as well.

Spanish interior design products in Paris
On 3 December, the Residence of the Spanish Ambassador in Paris will host a unique exhibition of interior design products called Scènes d’ intérieur: le design espagnol à l’honneur (Scenes of Daily Life: Spanish Design Takes Pride of Place), an event organised by ICEX and the Economic and Trade Office of Spain in Paris with the aim of showcasing the best Spanish home-décor designs to French interior architects and designers.
The exhibition will be curated by IDEAT Magazine, a publication specialised in design, contemporary art, photography and fashion. The highlight of the event at the Ambassador’s residence will be a singular setting with a variety of objects arranged to compose scenes of daily life – items from the companies taking part and human figures will be placed together to create a living exhibition and Ondarreta will be taking part of it.
When Aia met Harris
From Ondarreta, we set our sights north and sailed to discover this island first-hand, with its legacy, its people and know-how that gave rise to Harris Tweed fabrics, of legendary quality with an unbeatable range of colours, dressing English lords for over 100 years, and now a part of our Aia collection.
This week, until Friday 15th November you can find us in our Pop-Up "When Aia met Harris" with our Capsule Collection Aia + Harris Tweed. Come visit us at 12 Boulevard des Filles du Calvaire - Paris.

orain diseinua! euskadi eta industria presents a selection of industrial products that its main objective is to show the design aspects behind the Basque companies. After studying more than 100 companies, they have selected 120 objects of 40 different Basque companies or collections.
The exhibition is divided in 4 sections:
• the first ways
• licences
• materials
• contemporary design
In this last section you can find one of Ondarreta’s most emblematic and well know products, a Bob chair – designed by Nadia Arratibel. We invite you to visit the exhibit that will be opened from the 21-10-2019 hasta el 9-02-2020 at Tabakelera - Exhibit Hall 2.
Transgenerational housing
During the International Architecture Biennial - Mugak, the Gipuzkoa delegation of the Official College of Architects Vasco-Navarro and the City Council of Donostia / San Sebastián have organized the interactive exhibition Transgenerational housing.
This exhibition will be located at Plaza Zuloaga in Donostia / San Sebastián during the 18th and 27th of October.
A Chair with a Soul
That feeling we get when our bodies touch a welcoming surface, a surface that knows just how to adapt to our shape and movement —a surface, for example, like sand, on the beach. Shores are transformed to the rhythm of tides rising, then pulling back. Yet, the raw materials that constitute these shores remain, their intrinsic nature stays the same as they continue to dance with one another while slowly reshaping the landscape.

Hari, the result of a new collaboration between Ondarreta and the Spanish design atelier estudi{H}ac. A new collection, with chairs, stools and lounge pieces, with an industrial touch inspired by textile looms and a subtle and elegant feel inspired by delicate sewing thread.

The new Alo Outdoor, with its well known steel structure and its seat in steel ribbons that seem as if they were floating, giving the chair a sense of lightness and elegance. Available in all our epoxy colours.
