Imposing structures in dimension that are light in their layout, use of colour and discretion and that reflect the lightness, freshness, integration and respect for the brand and its collection. The project solves a unique visual challenge of the space. A search and dialogue between the sophistication, the unstructured nature of the hanging canvas and the graphic application, concepts that are seemingly opposed. Ondarreta explores the behaviour of their textures outside their usual context.

This creation of great sensitivity in shape and conceptual accuracy, elegantly adapts to its context. The solution adopted by the hanging canvas is as interesting as the disposition of the emerging modules of different heights that are used to showcase the “chairs that’s not a chair” IKA, the ELE hangers in various configurations and the soft seating Ginger collection designed by Sebastian Herkner.

The lightweight and large format fabrics are screen-printed in an artisan way. The brand’s deconstructed logo achieves a series of shapes and graphic compositions that vary depending on the spectator’s point of view within the space, creating an interplay with the layers, disruptions, folds, and endless viewpoints. The Ondarreta installation has been part of the design week of Milan 2022, celebrated from the 6th to the 12th of June 2022.
